The list, most important first
1. Get the main website back online. vshomeinfo.org is showing an error right now, so anyone who visits sees a broken page. A plugin was updated and now needs a newer version of PHP, the language the site runs on. Fix: log in to Namecheap, open cPanel, go to “Select PHP Version,” and choose 8.3. That should bring it right back.
2. Take down the sample reviews. The three reviews on the VANE page (Linda, James, and Sarah) look like examples that came with the site builder. Fake reviews can get a business in trouble. Replace them with real ones from riders or families, even just one or two.
3. Change the word “escort.” Online, “escort services” can be read the wrong way. “Ride-along help” or “door-to-door assistance” says the same thing safely.
4. Fix the name. The page says “VANE LLCC” in a few places. It should say VANE LLC everywhere.
5. Make it easy to call. The VANE page has no phone number. Add one big tap-to-call button, the hours, and a simple ride request form. Pick one phone number and one address and use them everywhere, including Google and Facebook.
6. Answer the questions families ask first. Can you take a wheelchair? Do you take Medicaid? How far ahead do I book? Can someone ride along? What does it cost? A short FAQ answers these before people pick up the phone.
7. Show the certifications. VANE is MTM-certified and V’s is HCBS-certified. Those build trust, so put them near the top of the page.
8. Say clearly what VANE is, and isn’t. It’s non-medical transportation, so rides, not ambulance care. A short line like “In an emergency, call 911” keeps expectations clear.
9. Clean up the main site’s leftovers. The V’s Home Care homepage has counters stuck at 0% and a “10,000+ reviews” badge that came with the template. Remove them or replace them with real numbers.
10. Give VANE its own web address. Instead of vaneorg.durablesites.com, VANE can live at transport.vshomeinfo.org. That’s one setting in Namecheap, and it doesn’t affect email.
11. Get found on Google. Set up a free Google Business Profile for VANE with the same name, phone, and address as the website, and link the website and Facebook page to each other.
12. Let us help keep the site running. Once the site is back online, WordPress has a free official plugin called MCP Adapter that lets us safely connect our tools to the site. You choose exactly what we’re allowed to do, like updating text or checking for problems, and you can turn it off anytime. It needs WordPress 6.9 or newer, so step one comes first.
